Gadgets

I am currently testing several gadgets that are available to the general public (not medical devices that require special handling or particular avenues of access).

Thus far, the trials are going well, and this space will be updated with info and links should they prove beneficial.

Clean Water

Near and dear to my heart (and paramount to the health of our ecosystems) is clean, comfortable, and sustainable water. This means using the water sources you have, ensuring that it’s safe to use, using products and systems that don’t create additional waste (or at least very, very little), while being easy to use and maintain.

Whether you’re already using bottled or utility-provided water, it may have more contaminants in it than you’d expect. Even the “good water” we have in my current neighborhood exceeds the contaminant level that I’m comfortable drinking.

I highly recommend the Berkey water filtration systems.

  • They are very easy to assemble.
  • Their filters are good for a high volume of water.
  • The filter systems are suitable for making puddle-water drinkable, so they can handle whatever is in your tap water.
  • Highly recommend the optional fluoride filters for any system you decide on.

There are lots of Berkey optionsso take a look around. I have the Travel bundle because the size fits really well in my house and can definitely handle the amount of clean water I might need at one time.
